Scanned just after I finished it, so I may move it to scraps later, but here's one of my latest projects. It seems whenever there's a significant emotional occurrence for me, I either write about it in my journal, write a song (when I'm desperate), or draw my marionettes and dolls. I find little else expresses visually what I'm feeling. The idea that the joints allow for movement not possible on the human body portrays such a broken, neglected, and abandoned air.

Initially I thought about putting this one in a lolita style dress, but I wanted it to be more personal for me, so instead she's dressed in the outfit I designed to represent Water (the one I hope to make for Halloween this year). When I start working with her in photoshop, I hope to create more of the sense that she's really dangling on the strings, that they're the only things supporting her and that she just doesn't have the will to hold herself up.
